Maninder Dhaliwal

President, Vancouver Chapter; Founding Chair, TiE Vancouver Angels
Maninder is an angel investor, and strategic advisor to high growth technology companies. Her background includes technology development and commercialization in Canada and the United States, and venture capital and M&A in Silicon Valley and the emerging markets of South-East Asia. She serves on the board of Harvard Alumni Association BC, and on the advisory board of San Francisco based SparkLabs Foundry which curates and pairs the world's best startups with Fortune500 and Global2000 firms for M&A. She received her Masters in Electrical Engineering from University of British Columbia, and Executive Education from Harvard Business School. Her awards and honours include Business in Vancouver’s Top 40 under 40, Daily Hive’s 30 Most Influential People in Tech, Canada Board Diversity Council’s Diversity 50 - recognized as Canada’s most diverse and eligible corporate board candidates, and Thomson Reuters’ Canada's Top 40 Influencers in Finance and Innovation

Opportunities have presented themselves to me at the right times in my life, and I have been properly prepared to seize them. Vik Khanna is guided by his passion for kids, education, technology and experiences. As CEO of National Education Technologies, he is leading the effort to help Parents “parent” their family’s technology use.

Sharad Khare

Sharad Kharé is an award winning storyteller and documentarian. He is the founder of Human Biography, a Vancouver-based content agency. Sharad has documented people like the Dalai Lama, Meryl Streep, Arianna Huffington, and many leaders and CEOs from all over the world. He is the co-founder of “The Indigenous Collective” where he collaborates with the Indigenous community, directing and producing video projects that capture First Nations stories and culture. He holds a Masters degree in communications. Sharad is currently on the board of the Laurier Institution, Live Big Society, and BC Cancer.

Devinder Gill is the Regional Vice President, Business Financial Services, for British Columbia at RBC. She is responsible for all aspects of business & commercial banking, and leads a dedicated team of industry specialists, who bring the best of RBC’s financial advice and solutions to help clients and their businesses thrive. With over 23 years of experience, Devinder has a deeply diversified background and strong expertise in the financial services industry. Notably, in small business, financial planning, retail, and commercial banking. Devinder is a firm believer in personal growth and development, she holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Northern British Columbia and an EMBA from Simon Fraser University. Her strong educational background allows for Devinder to take an intuitive and discerning view to her career and banking. A strong advocate for diversity and active member of her community, Devinder cares deeply about giving back. She is a mentor within RBC as well as with the SFU Beedie Mentors in Business program and also services as a Board Member and Women’s Event Chair with the Risk Management Association (RMA) Fraser Valley Chapter. She is the Executive Chair of the Women's Employee Resource Group and an Ascend Member. She also serves as a Director on the Board of Special Olympics and on the Finance Committee on the Board of Minerva as well. She is a proud mother of two young girls.
